2010 Activities:
March 13, Saturday Hosts: Stan & Lee Hostetler Richmond Auto Show.
Downtown Lunch and Auto Show. Gather around 12:00pm. Lunch at 12:30pm. We have reserved the 2nd floor conference room at the Hospital Hospitality House for our lunch. Afterwards, we can walk two blocks to the Richmond Convention Center to enjoy the Motor Trend International Auto Show.
There is one change from years past. Due to another group staying at the HHH, there is very limited parking available in their parking deck. We were able to secure only five spaces for those driving their Classic Thunderbirds. These are available to the first five driving RSVP’s. The closest public parking lot is next to the Convention Center (entrance from Marshall St.) The weekend rate is $8 for all day. The Convention Center parking garage at 3rd and Marshall Streets is another block or two away but only $6.
Our lunch will be salad, pizza, and Root Beer or salad with grilled chicken. Please specify with RSVP. The cost remains the same, $5 per person. What a deal!

The Hospital Hospitality House, 612 E. Marshall Street, is on the corner of E. Marshall and 7th Street, one block from Broad St. directly in front of the Richmond Coliseum. The main lobby door is inside the driveway entrance from 7th Street. Go inside and take the elevator to the second floor, follow signs to the conference room. If you need to contact Stan Saturday morning his cell is 804-839-5880. Tickets for the Auto Show are $9 for adults, $5 for seniors. Tickets can be purchased at the door or on-line on the web site: www.motortrendautoshows.com/richmond. A $1 discount coupon is also available on the web site. Also, if you purchase an online E-ticket, you will get a free year's subscription to Motor Trend magazine.

Coming from Va Beach, Williamsburg, etc. on I-64 West
Take exit #190 (5th Street/Downtown/Coliseum). Turn left at the 6th Street Traffic Light onto Marshall Street. Drive in left hand lane until you come to 7th Street. Turn left onto 7th Street. Use a parking garage or HHH parking if you were one of the first 5 folks who RSVPd that they were driving their Tbird.
Coming from Charlottesville, etc. on I-64 East
Follow I-64 East which merges with I-95 South
Coming from the North
Remain on I-95 South to exit #75 (3rd Street & Coliseum). Take Exit #75 (3rd Street & Coliseum). Drive down 3rd Street until you come to Marshall Street. Turn left onto Marshall Street. Drive in left hand lane until you come to 7th Street. Turn left onto 7th Street. Use parking garage or HHH parking if you were one of the first 5 who RSVPd about driving your Tbird.
Coming from Petersburg, and the South on I-95 North
Take exit #74 C (West Broad Street). Proceed on Broad Street to 7th Street. Turn right onto 7th Street and drive in the left hand lane. Cross Marshall Street and make an immediate left into HHH driveway if you were one of the first 5 who RSVPd about driving your Tbird. Otherwise use parking garage.
Coming from Southside
Take Powhite Parkway (76) North. Then Downtown Expressway (195) . Take 2nd Street exit after toll. Left on 2nd Street . Cross Broad Street turn right on Marshall Street. Drive past Convention Center turn Left onto 7th Street. See notes above about parking.
